Glossary for Addisonian crisis

  • Abdominal pain: A condition which is characterized by the sensation of pain that is located in the abdomen
  • Addison's Disease: A rare progressive hormonal disorder characterized by insufficient production of certain hormones called adrenal corticosteroids.
  • Adrenal disorders: Disorders affecting the adrenal glands
  • Adrenal hyperplasia: A group of disorder that occur when there is a problem in the process of making adrenal corticosteroids.
  • Autoimmune diseases: A group of disorders in which the primary cause is the an inflammatory reaction caused by the body's own immune system attacking tissues
  • Back pain: Pain from the back or spine.
  • Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH): A group of disorder that occur when there is a problem in the process of making adrenal corticosteroids.
  • Dehydration: Loss of fluids in the body
  • Endocrine system conditions: Medical conditions affecting the endocrine systems, such as the related hormones or glands.
  • Immune disorders: Disorders that affect the immune system
  • Leg pain: Pain affecting the leg
  • Severe diarrhea: A condition which is characterized by severe diarrhoea
  • Severe vomiting: A condition which is characterized by severe vomiting
  • Systemic disorders: Any condition that occurs in a system of the body
