Glossary for Adult Fibrosarcoma

  • Adult conditions: Medical conditions affecting adults, rather than children.
  • Bone swelling: Inflammation of the joint spaces leading to swelling and effusion.
  • Cancer: Abnormal overgrowth of body cells.
  • Connective tissue disorders: Any condition affecting connective tissues.
  • Infantile Fibrosarcoma: A tumor that develops from fibroblasts (cells that produce connective tissue) and tends to occur in soft tissue or in areas surrounding bones. Juvenile fibrosarcoma tends to have a much better prognosis compared to adult fibrosarcoma.
  • Lump: Any type of lump on the skin or body areas
  • Skin lump: The occurrence of a lump that is located on the skin
  • Soft tissue tumors: Any tumor of the soft tissues (e.g. muscles, cartilage), including cancer and benign tumors.
