structure that links the 2 hemispheres of the brain), infantile spasms (a
form of childhood seizure), mental retardation, and an ocular (eye)
abnormality called lacunae (lesions) of the retina of the eye.

A syndrome of infantile spasms, typical bowing of the head (salaam seizures), chorioretinopathy, retarded mental and motor development, agenesis of the corpus callosum, and costovertebral anomalies.

affects less than 200,000 people in the US population.
