Inheritance and Genetics of Anencephaly
Genetics of Anencephaly:
Some cases of anencephaly are related to genetic factors. These genetic factors may be inherited or sporadic. New, or sporadic mutations can occur in the developing embryo, or in the mother's egg or father's sperm prior to fertilization.
About inheritance and genetics:
Inheritance of Anencephaly refers to whether the condition is inherited
from your parents or "runs" in families.
The level of inheritance of a condition depends
on how important genetics are to the disease.
Strongly genetic diseases are usually inherited,
partially genetic diseases are sometimes inherited,
and non-genetic diseases are not inherited.
