Glossary for Anhidrosis

  • Dermatopathia pigmentosa reticularis: A very rare syndrome characterized mainly by increased skin pigmentation, thickened skin on palms and soles and reduced sweating.
  • Fabry's Disease: Genetic fat storage disorder
  • Hay-Wells Syndrome: A rare genetic disorder characterized by ankyloblepharon, ectodermal dysplasia, and cleft lip and/or cleft palate.
  • Horner's syndrome: A rare condition caused by damage to the sympathetic nervous system that supply the eye on the affected side of the head.
  • Limb-mammary syndrome: A rare syndrome characterized by abnormalities of the hand and/or foot as well as absent or underdeveloped mammary glands and nipples. The severity of the deformity is variable. Tooth, nail and sweat gland abnormalities may also be present.
  • Marshall syndrome: A rare genetic disorder characterized by a distinctive face and vision and hearing impairment.
  • Skin conditions: Any condition that affects the skin
  • Sweat symptoms: Symptoms related to sweating
  • Van Buchem disease type 2: A disease which is characterised by early onset osteoporosis
