Symptoms of Bullous systemic lupus erythematosus
- BSLE is characterized by the rapid development of a widespread vesiculobullous eruption . Blisters range from large, tense bullae (resembling bullous pemphigoid) to small, grouped vesicles (resembling dermatitis herpetiformis). They often arise on erythematous skin and may be preceded by urticarial papules and plaques. An annular or figurate configuration is occasionally observed. Bullae contain clear or hemorrhagic fluid. Rupture results in erosions and crusts, which typically heal with postinflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
