Prognosis for Chromosome 10p deletion syndrome: The prognosis varies somewhat depending on the type and severity of symptoms that develop. Most cases result in death within the first few years of life. Most survivors have retarded growth, seizures and mental retardation. Prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment can improve prognosis and quality of life.
