A rare cancer of the pancreas where the tumor consists of hormone producing cells in the pancreas such as islet cells. Examples of endocrine pancreatic cancer include gastrinomas, insulinomas and glucagonomas. Each of these tumors produce a different hormone and hence cause different symptoms.
