Fanconi's syndrome: Introduction

A rare condition where malfunction of the proximal tubes of the kidney causes the kidneys to excrete substances like glucose, amino acids and phosphate into the urine instead of allowing it to be reabsorbed back into the bloodstream. Fanconi's syndrome may be hereditary or can be caused by conditions such as Vitamin D deficiency and amyloidosis. ...more »
