Glossary for Majeed syndrome

  • Blood conditions: Conditions that affect the blood
  • Bone changes: Changes to the bones as a symptom
  • Bone conditions: Conditions that affect the bones
  • Bone inflammation: Inflammation of the bone also known as osteomyelitis.
  • Bone pain: Bone pain or tenderness is aching or other discomfort in one or more bones.
  • Bone swelling: Inflammation of the joint spaces leading to swelling and effusion.
  • Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis: A rare chronic inflammatory bone disease that occurs in children. The symptoms go into periods of remission only to return. The most common sites for the inflammation are the shinbone, thighbone and collarbone with usually several sites being affected at once.
  • Genetic Disease: Any disease that is handed down to oneself through the chromosomes of ones parents
  • Non-pathogenic inflammatory conditions: Medical disorders that cause inflammation, but are not due to any infectious pathogen.
  • Skin conditions: Any condition that affects the skin
  • Skin redness: The occurrence of redness that is located in the skin
