Glossary for Malignant rhabdoid tumors

  • Cancer: Abnormal overgrowth of body cells.
  • Child health conditions: Any medical conditions typically afflicting children.
  • Death: The cessation of life
  • Hydrocephalus: A rare condition where the normal flow of cerebrospinal fluid is impaired by dilated brain ventricles which causes the fluid to accumulate in the skull and hence result in increased brain pressure.
  • Increased pressure inside skull: Increased pressure inside skull is an increase in the pressure within the skull.
  • Metastatic cancer: Any cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
  • No symptoms: The absence of noticable symptoms.
  • Seizures: A rare syndrome characterized by mental retardation, seizures and high levels of hydroxylysine in the urine.
  • Swollen head: Swollen head or enlarged head size
