Glossary for Microcephaly, autosomal dominant

  • Bone conditions: Conditions that affect the bones
  • Genetic Disease: Any disease that is handed down to oneself through the chromosomes of ones parents
  • Head Conditions: Conditions that affect the head
  • Head symptoms: Symptoms affecting the head or brain
  • Missing teeth: missing teeth are a result of falling of teeth due to physiological or pathological causes or because they fail to erupt altogether due to genetic abnormalities
  • Musculoskeletal conditions: Medical conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system of bones, muscles and related structures.
  • Ocular weakness: Weakness of the ocular muscles.
  • Short stature: A rare syndrome characterized mainly by the association of short stature, Pierre Robin sequence, cleft mandible, hand anomalies and clubfoot.
  • Small head: The occurrence of a head which is smaller than normal
