Glossary for Muscle Hypotonia

  • Marinesco-Sjogren I: A rare condition characterized by cerebellar ataxia, speaking difficulty, mental retardation, short stature and tooth, hair and nail abnormalities.
  • Muscle conditions: Any condition that affects the muscles of the body
  • Musculoskeletal conditions: Medical conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system of bones, muscles and related structures.
  • Neuromuscular conditions: Conditions affecting the nerve-muscle systems.
  • Reduced muscle tone: Reduced muscle tone is a loss of or less than normal amount of muscle tightness.
  • Wrinkly skin syndrome: A very rare genetic disorder characterized by wrinkly skin that occurs primarily on the palms and soles but can occur on other parts of the body. The condition is also associated with various other abnormalities.
