Atrial septal defect occluder: An atrial septal defect is a synthetic implant and delivery system used to close an ostium secundum atrial septal defect, which is a hole between the left and right atria, or upper chambers of the heart. The delivery system is a wire-guided catheter and the implant is a self-expanding wire mesh and polyester disc.
