Perineometer: A perineometer is a fluid-filled sac that is placed in the vagina and attached to an external manometer. This device is used to test the strength of the perineal (pelvic floor) muscles by resistance to the patient's muscle contractions in this area. This device may also be used to provide feedback to the patient during pelvic floor muscle exercises (Kegel exercise) for urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction.
