Horseradish peroxidase: nonEC; a peroxidase isolated from the horseradish plant and used in a variety of light and electron microscopic staining procedures; phagocytosed HRP has extraordinary intracellular survival time and can be used to trace intercellular gap connections, neuronal transport, and vesicle flux.

Horseradish peroxidase: An enzyme isolated from horseradish which is able to act as an antigen. It is frequently used as a histochemical tracer for light and electron microscopy. Its antigenicity has permitted its use as a combined antigen and marker in experimental immunology.
