Description of Propanol

Propanol: colorless liquid made by oxidation of aliphatic hydrocarbons that is used as a solvent and chemical intermediate; the isomer isopropanol has disinfectant properties and is used in the manufacture of acetone and its derivatives and as a solvent; topically, it is used as an antiseptic.
