Description of Zolpidem

Zolpidem: A sedative/hypnotic drug useful for treating anxiety and resembling benzodiazepines in its pharmacology but differing somewhat in chemical structure. Unlike benzodiazepines, zolpidem lacks prominent anticonvulsant properties, and less tolerance may develop with its use.
