44 men unsure of whether they have prostate cancer due to biopsy problems

A review of quality control in a Furness hospital revealed that unsuitable prostate biopsy sampling technique had been used resulting in unreliable results in 44 cases. The 44 men were recalled to have the test redone to determine whether they had cancer or not. Resampling was done by a different doctor which has raised some concern in people's minds about what actually happened. The hospital is refusing to comment until it finishes its investigations.
