9 year old dies after misdiagnosis of strangulated bowel following appendicectomy

A nine year old girl died of complication 21/2 weeks after undergoing an emergency appendectomy. Doctors had failed to diagnose a strangulated bowel. The hospital denied any wrongdoing and an inquest reached a misadventure verdict.
