A vaccine for diabetes is being trialed on children in Australia

Australian doctors are trialing an insulin inhaler on children of Type 1 diabetes sufferers in an effort to prevent the onset of Type 1 diabetes. The results so far have been encouraging. It effectively acts as a vaccine. The trial participants will continue to be monitored over the next 5 years.
