Ancient herbal remedies are being studied for their effectiveness in treating cancer and controlling diabetes

Ancient Indian herbal remedies may be capable of controlling diabetes and cancer. The Indian curry leaf in particular may reduce the rate of starch breakdown into glucose in diabetics. An aquatic week from Thailand called Ammannia baccifera and the Chinese star anise are believed to have cancer fighting properties. However, much more research needs to done to confirm these ideas.
