Approval for parents with certain hereditary conditions to choose embryos

People in Britain are now able to legally choose embryos that are free from cancer causing genes that their parents have. This option is available only to parents who have familial adenomatous polyposis, a form of colon cancer which carries a 50% hereditary risk. Embryo choice is also available to eliminate cystic fibrosis, Huntington's disease and other untreatable hereditary conditions.
