Carbohydrate quantity in diet affects diabetics blood pressure

Research conducted on people with type 2 diabetes, found that a carbohydrate enriched diet increased subjects' blood pressure more than a diet high in monounsaturated fats. The study also showed that the heart rate was elevated in the patients consuming predominantly carbohydrates.
