Manufacturers of the contraceptive patch are defending themselves against claims that the patch may have caused 17 deaths in the last two years and produced life threatening complications in 21 others. The manufacturer claims that the risk posed by the contraceptive patch is no greater than the Pill but they will investigate the claims.
