Court order 4.2m compensation for breast cancer misdiagnosis

A court awarded a woman $4.2 m in compensation when two doctors misdiagnosed her breast cancer. She initially presented with a lump in her breast. Both doctors treated it as a cyst and only tested for cancer a year later by which time it was at an advanced stage. The woman is currently healthy but the cancer is expected to return eventually with fatal results.
