Death of mother from pre-eclampsia after delivering child

A woman who had endured 4 years of IVF, and 2 miscarriages died days after delivering a healthy baby boy due to a bleed in her brain caused by pre-eclampsia. The mother was admitted to hospital in the 7 month of pregnancy for an emergency caesarean after her blood pressure was found to be elevated. During the following night she began to fit and went into a coma due to hypertension, the result of pre-eclampsia, which caused a cerebral hemorrhage.
