Depression incidence not influenced by abortion

First time pregnancies that are aborted have been shown not to be linked to a higher risk of developing depression according to a study that included mothers that terminated their unwanted pregnancy and those that gave birth. It seemed that the women who decided to abort established better levels of scholastic achievement, which in turn lead to higher socioeconomic security and a smaller family. These factors were determined to be protective of depression.
