Depression needs to be properly diagnosed and treated with the appropriate drug. Depression may well be a symptom of another psychiatric disorder and treatment of the depression with a drug like Seroxat could exacerbate other psychiatric conditions which in turn could worsen the depression. Recent concerns about the use of Seroxat falsely blame the drug for negative effects when it really comes done to accurate diagnosis of the psychiatric disorder.
