Diabetes causes escalating number of deaths

The ranking of causes of death is changing as time passes. Diabetes is becoming an increasingly significant cause of death. Increasing obesity is helping fuel these deaths. Heart disease is generally the leading cause of death followed by cancer and then influenza and pneumonia (New York). Alzheimer's disease has now become the leading cause of death in those over 75. HIV/AIDS related deaths in New York are falling.
