Doctor causes woman’s death – her estate is awarded 115,000

A dead woman’s estate was awarded $115,000 when a doctor accidentally pierced a vein near her heart while inserting a catheter. The doctor had never performed the procedure before. The woman was initially admitted to hospital suffering from abdominal pain and fatigue.
