Doctors failure to monitor unborn baby results in death from choking umbilical cord

A baby suffered severe oxygen starvation when he was born with the umbilical tube wrapped around his neck. His deteriorating condition during the three days prior to a caesarian went unnoticed by doctors. The baby suffered severe brain damage and life support was eventually switched off.
