Drug which prevents breast cancer recurrence approved for use

The US FDA has approved the use of a breast cancer treatment drug, Letrozole, to be used as a preventative measure for women who have already had early forms of the disease. The risk of recurrence is reduced by half claims studies on the drug. The drug is to be taken after tamoxifen treatment has been completed.
