Ear plugs may help alleviate the discomfort of takeoff and landing

EarPlanes are disposable earplugs designed to alleviate ear problems during takeoff and landing in planes. The earplugs are effective but they need to be worn for quite a while before takeoff and landing which may be difficult for children. Also, they tend to block out a lot of noise which some people may not like. However, it is probably worthwhile for people who have a cold, sinus problems or allergies. A bottle for babies or chewing gum for those old enough are also know to help equalize pressure.
