Elderly man's quality of life drastically reduced due to a misdiagnosis that continued for 13 years.

A retired man suffered dementia, incontinence, inability to walk properly and frequent falls. Doctors diagnosed Alzheimer's disease. A CT scan 13 years later revealed Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus which was easily cured by inserting a shunt to drain excess fluid from the man's skill. His condition improved dramatically.
