Endometriosis is often undiagnosed despite the severe symptoms it can cause

The National Endometriosis Society claims that around 2 million women in the UK have undiagnosed endometriosis. It is difficult to diagnose as symptoms similar to pelvic inflammatory disease and irritable bowel syndrome. There is no cure and treatments are limited.
