Family set to receive 10 million after bungled birth leaves daughter severely handicapped

The Canadian Supreme Court is refusing to hear an appeal of a medical malpractice case where a family was awarded over $10 million after their daughter received severe injuries during her birth. It is alleged that two doctors bungled a delivery in 1983 which left the infant unable to speak, quadriplegic, brain damage, respiratory problems and cerebral palsy due to lack of oxygen at during birth.
