Fears of legal action result in 20 percent increase in breast clinic referrals

Doctors fears of being sued because of delays in diagnosis or misdiagnosis of breast cancer has led to a 20% increase in referrals to breast clinics in one year. Cancers are a major portion of this type of legal action (more than 20%) and breast cancer is the most easily missed or misdiagnosed.
