Fertility post cancer therapy

Cancer treatments have now been improved to the stage where fertility can be preserved during treatment, without compromising its efficacy. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy have been fined tuned over recent times to provide cures for cancers and allow for future planning of families in sufferers. Such cancers as breast, cervical, uterine, ovarian, testicular tumors, and leukemia and lymphoma have been targeted in audits. Tissue preservation prior to surgery and reimplantation post-treatment, for example, ovarian tissue, has been found to be successful, as has cryofreezing sperm.
