Having diabetes increases a persons risk of developing liver and pancreatic cancer

A Canadian Cancer Society funded study has found that the risk of developing liver cancer is three times higher in people with diabetes mellitus and the risk of pancreatic cancer is also doubled in diabetics. However, diabetes did not increase the risk of developing other cancers.
