Low-glycaemic-index diet assists weight loss

An animal study has proven that a low glycaemic-index diet can have the beneficial effects of weight loss, reduced body fat and reduced risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Small studies done on humans have had similar results but it is yet to be proven whether itís the glycaemic portion of the diet or the fiber or calorie intake that provides the beneficial effects.
