Man receives 100,000 when surgical equipment left in his stomach after operation

A surgical retractor was left inside a manís stomach after doctors performed surgery to remove a tumour. The man complained to doctors of great pain for several months but doctors didnít find the cause. The error was only picked up when the man set off a metal detector. The man received $100,000 damages.
