Pharmaceuticals company shows results of a study done on a new drug treatment for IBS

Solvay Pharmaceuticals have delivered the results of a study where they have found that Cilansetron greatly relieved symptoms for Irritable Bowel Syndrome sufferers. It was found that the treatment improved abdominal pain/discomfort and abnormal bowel habits. Some of the side effects included constipation (12% of patients treated), headache, abdominal pain, nausea and nasopharyngitis. IBS affects more than 1 in 10 people world wide.
