Prozac combined with “talk therapy” most effective in treating teenage depression

Parents and children are too busy to take the time to engage in “talk therapy” to overcome depression. Prozac is often the method of choice. Tests do show that Prozac works better than talk alone but both together work even better. Interestingly, even those on placebo showed improvement – maybe it was just the fact of getting much needed attention.
