Surgical tools used during spinal operation were soaked in hydraulic fluid

A man is becoming increasingly concerned after a hospital admitted that the surgical tools used to fuse two of his vertebrae during surgery had been sterilized but soaked in hydraulic fluid. He claims that the medical mistake has resulted in deterioration in his condition. He wants the hospital to take more responsibility for finding out about the possible effects of the error. He claims to have developed a post-operative infection as well.
