Tourette Syndrome affects about 1% of population

Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects 1% of the population. Symptoms are verbal or physical tics eg sniffing, eye blinking, jumping, inappropriate words or repetition. Symptoms may be mild or severe. They may also have some symptoms common to obsessive-compulsive, ADHD, sleep disorders and learning difficulties. Therapy and drugs may alleviate symptoms.
