Umbilical cord blood may provide allergy clues

A study done on baby's umbilical cord blood have found that high allergen antibodies in the blood may have a greater link to childhood allergies and asthma than exposure to allergens. High antibody levels increased the risk of asthma by the age of 10 by 66%.
