Weight problems can lead to fertility problems

Two studies have unanimously agreed that male and female fertility is affected by weight. Under- or overweight males are less likely to produce good quality sperm. Overweight women are more likely to have fertility problems than women of normal weight. Overweight women had about a 20% chance of conceiving using IVF compared to normal weight women who had a 25% chance. The study could not link underweight women to fertility problems however.
