Woman left in vegetative state after caesarian

A woman had a caesarian delivery of a baby boy. Soon after, she suffered heart failure. Doctors told her husband that she would require a blood transfusion as she had lost a lot of blood but no transfusion was carried out. There was also discrepancies about the amount of blood loss she suffered. She then fell into a vegetative state.
