Wrongful Death suit filed against doctor

A man was admitted to hospital where he was diagnosed with coronary artery disease and a recent inferior myocardial infarction. He had surgery but then suffered from post-operative adult respiratory distress syndrome and pneumonia resulting in lung function loss. He eventually died after which his wife filed a wrongful death suit against doctors claiming that the doctor was negligent in not performing diagnostic tests for cardiovascular disease and in failing to refer him to a cardiologist.
